If you're a small, minority, disadvantaged, woman or veteran owned business that wants to work with the District Government or the Federal Government, you should know about government programs designed just for you. The Certified Business Enterprise or CBE program in D.C. is administered by the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD). The U.S. Small Business Administration has the 8A program, which certifies small businesses with the federal government. We have helped multiple businesses receive their government small business certification but the application and governing law are complex, so you need someone who understands each along with the process as well.

Our representation of clients who want to file a CBE application or an application for 8A certification (or other certification with the U.S. Small Business Administration) ("Application") runs the gamut. Below is some of what you can expect, but each application is unique and the lists are not exhaustive.
